The Implant Procedure
The process of getting dental implants takes place over several months and involves several sessions with your periodontist.
To begin with, our team will assess your general oral health and determine if implants are right for you. In some cases, bone grafts or regeneration may be required to stabilise the implant area.
Once the surrounding bone and gums are properly prepared, the implant insertion procedure can take place. This may take one or two stages of surgery depending on individual circumstances. Following the implant placement, a healing period of two to six months is required.
Once healed, an impression of the surrounding teeth is taken so that perfect replacement teeth can be crafted. Once ready, the final dental restoration is fitted to the implant. Several follow-up appointments will ensure implant stability and patient satisfaction.
